Hi, I’m Allie.

I’m a thoughtful self-starter, constantly in search of a new challenge to make the world a better place.

I’m a problem solver, passionate about solving problems centered around people. I apply design thinking and systems thinking to devise innovative solutions and chart a strategic path forward. My work, decisions, and designs are always founded in research.

I am currently a second year graduate student at MIT, studying Integrated Design and Management; a joint program between the Sloan School of Business and the School of Engineering.

Here, I am learning how to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams in designing human-centered solutions. I am focused on design research, inclusive design, mental health, and sustainability.

Prior to MIT, I worked as a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Government and Public Sector practice for Customer Strategy & Applied Design.

In my five years at Deloitte, I worked with multiple government agencies on design sprints, research studies, and tech modernization program management. Here, I saw the value and need for human-centered design in government.

As an undergrad at the University of Virginia, I studied Systems Engineering and minored in Science and Technology Policy.

Through my program, I learned how to apply systems thinking to solve problems and use data to inform decisions. I became fascinated with understanding how to assess and improve the socio-technical systems that we exist in today.

In my free time, you can find me engaging in activities that require mindfulness and/or enable me to be more present, such as yoga, running, improv, and live concerts.
